At least 236 killed in Myanmar floods caused by Typhoon Yagi
Typhoon Yagi caused widespread destruction and flooding in northern Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar. The storm resulted in significant loss of life, with reported fatalities ranging from 226 to 236, depending on the source. The hardest hit areas in Myanmar include Mandalay, Naypyitaw, and parts of Shan state, where a third of the country's population is already in need of humanitarian aid.
