Syrian War Aftermath
Syria's conflict has not yet been fully resolved according to UN envoy
A recent development in the Syrian conflict has been the extension of a ceasefire between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Turkish-backed fighters. However, the United Nations special envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, has expressed concern that the conflict has not ended yet, despite the removal of President Bashar al-Assad by opposition fighters.
Furthermore, Pedersen has called on Israel to cease all settlement activity in the occupied Syrian Golan at the UN security council.
