Nato conducts military exercises in Norway, Sweden, and Finland

In April 2023, Finland became the newest member of NATO, and in March 2024, the Nordic countries held their largest-ever joint military exercise named Nordic Response. This exercise, which previously went by the name Cold Response and was held every other year in northern Norway, now involves more than 20,000 soldiers from 13 countries, including over 4,000 soldiers from Finland. Sweden is expected to join NATO formally this month and will also participate in the drills. The exercise runs until March 14, 2024.
