Israel-Lebanese Hezbollah Conflict
Israel launches "extensive" strikes on Lebanon following deadly rocket attack
In Lebanon, Israeli enemy strikes on the village of Dhayra resulted in the deaths of four people and injuries to two others, with the casualties' status as civilians or fighters unclear. Hezbollah launched intense rocket barrages at two Israeli army positions in the occupied Golan Heights, with the Israeli military identifying 55 projectiles crossing from Lebanese territory, some of which ignited fires.
There have been renewed attacks along the Israel-Lebanon border, putting efforts to calm the situation at risk. Hundreds of people fled a hospital in southern Gaza after an evacuation order was issued by Israel. Cease-fire talks are ongoing at a lower level in Cairo. In Lebanon, air raids were reported in the villages of Adchit, Sawwaneh, and Shihabiyeh, resulting in at least four civilian deaths and nine injuries. A woman was also killed and others injured in a rocket attack on northern Israel. The two sides have been trading fire across Israel's northern border. There seems to be some consistency among the articles regarding the renewed attacks along the Israel-Lebanon border and the resulting casualties, but there may be slight variations in the number of civilians killed or injured.
