France Budget Bill
French PM names new government amid budget impasse
Emmanuel Macron has named a new cabinet in France, with Francois Bayrou serving as his fourth prime minister of the year. The new government includes a mix of old and new members, with Elisabeth Borne returning to the government as education secretary. Manuel Valls has also been appointed as overseas territories minister, while Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot and Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu have retained their positions. The new government succeeds the previous one, which was the shortest-serving government in the modern French republic, and was ousted in a no-confidence vote this month.
