Zionist
Zionism is an ethno-cultural nationalist movement that emerged in Europe in the late 19th century with the goal of establishing a Jewish state through colonization of a land outside of Europe, eventually focusing on Palestine as the Jewish homeland. The movement aimed to create a Jewish state with as much land, as many Jews, and as few Palestinian Arabs as possible, and following the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, Zionism became the ideology supporting the protection and development of Israel as a Jewish state. Zionism initially emerged in Central and Eastern Europe in reaction to antisemitism and in response to the Haskalah, or Jewish Enlightenment, and the movement's primary goal from 1897 to 1948 was to establish the basis for a Jewish homeland in Palestine.learn more on wikipedia
