Yangshan Port

The Yangshan Port is a deep-water port located in Hangzhou Bay, south of Shanghai, and is part of the Maritime Silk Road. It is built on the islands of Greater and Lesser Yangshan and can handle the world's largest container ships, with berths capable of handling up to 15 meters of water depth. The port is connected to Shanghai's Pudong New Area via the Donghai Bridge and is administered separately as part of Zhejiang's Shengsi County. By 2019, the port had handled 43.35 million Twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) and is expected to reach 30 berths capable of handling 15 million TEUs annually when complete.
