Wilmington Island

Wilmington Island is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Chatham County, Georgia, with a population of 15,129 as of the 2020 US census. It is located east of Savannah, between Thunderbolt and Tybee Island, and has a total area of 9.5 square miles, with 8.2 square miles of land and 1.3 square miles of water. The community has two private schools, St. Andrews School and Saint Peter the Apostle School, in addition to May Howard Elementary School, which is the only public school on the island.learn more on wikipedia
