Wild West
The American frontier, also known as the Old West or Wild West, refers to the geography, history, folklore, and culture associated with the westward expansion of the United States from the early 17th century to 1912. Historians have debated the exact periodization of the frontier era, but it generally spans from the end of the American Civil War in 1865 to the early 20th century, with some considering it to have lasted until 1919. The frontier was marked by violent conflict, the removal and assimilation of Native American tribes, and the consolidation of property to large corporations and government. The idea of the frontier, popularized by historian Frederick Jackson Turner, has become a defining feature of American national identity, symbolizing the country's expansion and development.learn more on wikipedia
