Weimar Triangle

The Weimar Triangle is a regional alliance of France, Germany, and Poland established in 1991 to promote cooperation between the three countries in cross-border and European issues. The group primarily exists through summit meetings between the leaders of the three countries and their foreign ministers, with cooperation in areas such as inter-parliamentary contacts, military, scientific, and cultural cooperation. The alliance was established to assist Poland's emergence from Communist rule, and since then, the three countries have maintained regular meetings and have discussed issues such as Ukraine's territorial integrity and the European migrant crisis.
