Voyager 1

Voyager 1 is a space probe launched by NASA on September 5, 1977, to study the outer Solar System and the interstellar space. It is the most distant human-made object from Earth, having reached a distance of 166.28 AU (24.9 billion km) from Earth as of December 2024. The probe made flybys of Jupiter, Saturn, and Titan, a moon of Saturn, and was the first probe to provide detailed images of their moons. Voyager 1 crossed the heliopause and entered interstellar space on August 25, 2012, and its extended mission is expected to continue until at least 2025.
