The USS Harry S. Truman is an Nimitz-class aircraft carrier commissioned on July 25, 1998, and is homeported at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia. The ship is named after the 33rd President of the United States, Harry S. Truman, and has a length of 1,092 feet, a width of 257 feet, and a height of 244 feet. It has a flight deck of 4.5 acres in size and can accommodate around 90 aircraft. The ship has a combat load of almost 97,000 tons and can accommodate 6,250 crew members. It is equipped with two Mark II stockless anchors, three 20mm Phalanx CIWS mounts, and two Sea Sparrow SAM launchers. The USS Harry S.
