US Open
The US Open Tennis Championships, one of the oldest tennis championships in the world, is a hardcourt tournament held annually in Queens, New York City, and is the fourth and final of the four Grand Slam tennis events. The tournament, originally known as the U.S. National Championships, was first held in 1881 at the Newport Casino in Rhode Island, and has since been played on various surfaces and locations, including grass courts at the Newport Casino, and acrylic hardcourts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament consists of five primary championships and various other events for senior, junior, and wheelchair players, and has been held without interruption since World War I and World War II, and despite the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.learn more on wikipedia
