Sufism
Sufism is a mystic body of religious practice found within Islam, characterized by a focus on Islamic purification, spirituality, ritualism, and asceticism. Practitioners of Sufism, known as Sufis, typically belonged to orders or congregations formed around a grand wali, with the goal of undergoing self-purification and reaching a spiritual station of ihsan. The ultimate aim of Sufis is to seek the pleasure of God by returning to their original state of purity and natural disposition, known as fitra, and they strictly observed Islamic law while also practicing dhikr, the remembrance of God. Despite a relative decline in the modern era, Sufism continues to play an important role in the Islamic world and has influenced various forms of spirituality in the West.learn more on wikipedia
