Spanish Super Cup
The Supercopa de España, also known as the Spanish Super Cup, is a super cup tournament in Spanish football that has been contested since 1982 by four teams: the winners and runners-up of the Copa del Rey and La Liga. Barcelona is the reigning champion and has won the tournament a record 15 times, followed by Real Madrid with 13 titles. The competition was previously held between the Spanish league champions and the cup winners from 1940 to 1953, with several unofficial tournaments taking place before the current version was established in 1982. In 2019, the Supercopa expanded to four teams and moved to a single match hosted at a neutral venue in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, following a three-year deal valued at €120 million.learn more on wikipedia
