Six Nations
The Six Nations Championship is an annual international rugby union competition between the teams of England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales, organized by the unions of the six participating nations. The championship is the oldest sports tournament between Home Nations, and Ireland won the 2024 tournament, making them the current champions. The tournament has a long history, starting as the Home Nations Championship in 1883, expanding to the Five Nations Championship in 1910 with the addition of France, and then to the Six Nations Championship in 2000 with the inclusion of Italy. The women's and under-20s tournaments also exist, with the men's under-20s championship starting in 2004. The tournament is played over five weeks in February and March, with each team playing every other team once, and home ground advantage alternating each year.learn more on wikipedia
