Sinai Peninsula

The Sinai Peninsula is a peninsula in Egypt, located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea, and has a land area of approximately 60,000 km2 and a population of around 600,000 people. It has been a part of Egypt since the First Dynasty of ancient Egypt, but has also been occupied and controlled by various foreign empires throughout history, including the Ottoman Empire and the United Kingdom.
