Sde Teiman Base
The Sde Teiman detention camp is an Israeli military base in the Negev desert that was converted into a detention camp in 2023 to hold Palestinian detainees from the Gaza Strip. The camp has been criticized for systemic human rights violations, including reports of rape, gang-rape, and torture of detainees, including children, by Israeli soldiers and medical staff. Detainees have also suffered from medical neglect, leading to amputations and other serious injuries. The camp has been the site of several high-profile incidents, including a leaked CCTV video showing Israeli soldiers gang-raping a detainee, and has been the subject of international condemnation. As of 2024, over 4,000 Gazans have been detained at Sde Teiman, with many being held without charges or access to a lawyer.learn more on wikipedia
