Scrabble is a word game invented by Alfred Mosher Butts in 1938, played on a 15x15 grid board with two to four players scoring points by forming words from letter tiles. The game is produced by Hasbro in the US and Canada, and by Mattel outside of these countries, with over 150 million sets sold worldwide.
