Scarborough Shoal

Scarborough Shoal is a disputed territory located between Macclesfield Bank to the west and Luzon to the east, approximately 220 kilometers away from the nearest landmass. The atoll is claimed by the Philippines, China, and Taiwan, and its status is often discussed in conjunction with other territorial disputes in the South China Sea. The atoll's perimeter is 46 kilometers and it covers an area of 150 square kilometers, including an inner lagoon. The atoll's highest point is 1.8 meters above sea-level at high tide.
