SPYDER
The SPYDER is an Israeli short and medium range mobile air defence system developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems with assistance from Israel Aerospace Industries. It is a low-level, quick-reaction surface-to-air missile system capable of engaging various airborne targets, including aircraft, helicopters, drones, and cruise missiles. The system consists of two variants: the SPYDER-SR (short range) and the SPYDER-MR (medium range), both of which are network-centric, all-weather, and multi-launchers. The system uses the EL/M-2106 ATAR radar for the SPYDER-SR and the EL/M-2084 MMR radar for the SPYDER-MR, and is equipped with the Python-5 and Derby missiles. The SPYDER has been successfully tested and has achieved direct hits in trials, and is currently operated by India and Singapore, with orders pending for Peru and reports of use by Georgia during the 2008 Russo-Georgian War.learn more on wikipedia
