S-300

The S-300 missile system is a long-range surface-to-air missile system developed by the former Soviet Union, produced by NPO Almaz for the Soviet Air Defence Forces. It is used by Russia, Ukraine, and other former Eastern Bloc countries, as well as China, Iran, and other countries in Asia. The system is fully automated, with manual observation and operation also possible, and has a maximum range of 40 kilometers from the command post. The S-300 has undergone several upgrades and variations, including the S-300P, S-300V, and S-300F, with improved radars, better resistance to countermeasures, and longer range.
