River Turia

The Turia River is a river in Spain that originates in the Montes Universales and flows through the provinces of Teruel, Cuenca, and Valencia before emptying into the Mediterranean Sea. The river was diverted south of the city of Valencia in 1969 to prevent flooding, and the old course was turned into a central green-space known as the Garden of the Turia. The garden is now a popular cultural attraction and features a variety of attractions including ponds, paths, fountains, and artworks.
