Red Square
Red Square is one of the oldest and largest squares in Moscow, Russia, located in the city's historic centre and within the eastern walls of the Kremlin. It is approximately 73,000 square meters in size and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990. The square has been the site of various events, including executions, demonstrations, riots, parades, and speeches, and is home to famous buildings such as Saint Basil's Cathedral, Lenin's Mausoleum, and the GUM department store. Red Square has a rectangular shape, measuring 70 meters wide and 330 meters long, and is bounded by the Kremlin wall, the GUM department store, the State Historical Museum, and Saint Basil's Cathedral.
