RMS Carpathia

The RMS Carpathia was a Cunard Line transatlantic passenger steamship built by Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson in England, which made her maiden voyage in 1903 from Liverpool to Boston. She became famous for rescuing 705 survivors of the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912, and continued to operate until being torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine off the southern Irish coast on July 17, 1918, with a loss of five crew members.
