RAF Feltwell

RAF Feltwell is a Royal Air Force station in Norfolk, East Anglia, currently used by the United States Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa. The site was built during the 1930s as a heavy bomber station and was home to various RAF squadrons during World War II. It was later used for Thor missiles and as a base for the RAF's Officer Cadet Training Unit. In the 1980s, the US Air Force's 5th Space Surveillance Squadron was stationed there, and the base was later used as a housing estate for US Air Force personnel. The 18th Intelligence Squadron, later reactivated as the US Space Force's 73rd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron, has also been hosted on the base.learn more on wikipedia
