Pink Mountain

Pink Mountain is an unincorporated community in British Columbia, Canada, located on the Alaska Highway, approximately 100 people inhabit the community. A nearby mountain, also known as Pink Mountain, rises to 1,600 meters from a boreal forest plain at 1,030 meters. The mountain is known for its alpine flora and features a provincial park, which protects a significant palaeontological site containing marine fossils from the Mesozoic Era, including the largest ichthyosaur ever discovered. The Rocky Mountains to the west of Pink Mountain is the only place in the province where wild Plains bison roam, descendants of an escaped herd of 50 from those imported by local guide and outfitter R.
