Paveway IV
The Paveway IV is a dual mode GPS/INS and laser-guided bomb manufactured by Raytheon UK, the latest iteration of the Paveway series. It is a guidance kit based on the Enhanced Paveway II ECCG added to a modified Mk 82 general-purpose bomb, and can be launched using IMU, GPS, or terminal laser guidance. The Paveway IV entered service with the Royal Navy in 2008 and was first used operationally during Operation Herrick in Afghanistan. It has been used in various conflicts including Operation Ellamy in Libya and Operation Shader in Iraq and Syria. The bomb has been sold to several countries including the Royal Saudi Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force, and is also being considered for integration on the F-35 Lightning II.learn more on wikipedia
