Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week is a series of designer presentations held semi-annually in Paris, France, with spring/summer and autumn/winter events held each year. The event is organized by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and features men's, haute couture, and ready-to-wear shows. The haute couture collections are presented first, followed by the ready-to-wear collections, with around 100 collections showcased each season. The event is a significant part of the global "Big 4" fashion weeks, which also includes London, Milan, and New York Fashion Weeks. The concept of Paris Fashion Week originated from "salon shows" in Paris couture salons in the 1700s, with Charles Frederick Worth and Jeanne Paquin playing key roles in its development.learn more on wikipedia
