Panavia Tornado

The Panavia Tornado is a twin-engine, variable-sweep wing multi-role combat aircraft developed and manufactured by Italy, the United Kingdom and Germany. It was first flown on August 14, 1974, and introduced into service in 1979-1980. The Tornado was operated by the Royal Air Force, Italian Air Force and Royal Saudi Air Force during the Gulf War and other conflicts, and was used for low-altitude penetrating strike missions. The Tornado has three primary variants: the Tornado IDS fighter-bomber, the Tornado ECR SEAD aircraft and the Tornado ADV interceptor aircraft.
