Oslo Peace Accords
The Oslo I Accord, officially known as the Declaration of Principles on Interim Self-Government Arrangements, was a framework agreement signed on September 13, 1993, between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The agreement established a Palestinian interim self-government, the Palestinian National Authority, with responsibility for administering territory under its control, and called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from parts of the Gaza Strip and West Bank. The accord also provided for a five-year interim period during which a permanent agreement would be negotiated, covering issues such as Jerusalem, Palestinian refugees, Israeli settlements, security, and borders.learn more on wikipedia
