Orange Bowl

The Orange Bowl is an annual American college football bowl game that has been played since 1935 in the Miami metropolitan area, originally held at Miami Field and later at the Miami Orange Bowl stadium before moving to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens in 1996. The game has had various conference tie-ins throughout its history, including a strong relationship with the Big Eight Conference from the 1950s to the mid-1990s, and since 2007, has hosted the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) champion unless they are involved in the national championship playoff. The Orange Bowl was a member of the Bowl Coalition, Bowl Alliance, and Bowl Championship Series (BCS) before joining the College Football Playoff (CFP) in 2014 and has served as a national semifinal game following the 2015, 2018, and 2021 seasons.
