Operation Rough Rider

In March 2025, the United States launched a large military operation, codenamed Operation Rough Rider, against Houthi targets in Yemen in response to their attacks on international shipping and Israeli cities. The Houthi group, backed by Iran, had launched over 190 attacks on shipping, sinking two vessels, seizing another, and killing at least four seafarers, and had also conducted ballistic missile and drone attacks on Israeli cities.
