Operation Just Cause

The United States invaded Panama in December 1989, led by President George H. W. Bush, with the stated purpose of removing General Manuel Noriega, who was wanted for racketeering and drug trafficking. The invasion, codenamed Operation Just Cause, concluded in late January 1990 with Noriega's surrender and the dissolution of the Panama Defense Forces.
