National Dr Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall
The National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is a memorial located in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan, dedicated to the country's National Father, Dr. Sun Yat-sen. The building covers an area of 29,464 square meters and contains exhibitions on Sun's life and the revolution he led, as well as a multi-purpose social, educational, and cultural center. The hall features a statue of Sun Yat-sen, a changing of the guards ceremony, a performance hall, an exhibition center, and a library with over 300,000 books. The building is situated in Chung-shan Park and includes gardens, historical walls, and an exhibition area surrounding Lake Cui. The memorial hall was completed in 1972 and was initially affiliated with the city government of Taipei before becoming part of the Ministry of Education in 1986.learn more on wikipedia
