Narita Airport
Narita International Airport is one of two international airports serving the Greater Tokyo Area, located 60 km east of central Tokyo in Narita, Chiba. The airport was built without consulting local residents and led to the Sanrizuka Struggle, a long-standing controversy over land expropriation and noise pollution. Despite this, Narita is the busiest airport in Japan by international passenger and cargo traffic, serving as the main hub for several airlines including Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways. In 2022, Narita was named the fourth-best airport in the world by Skytrax. The airport has a 4,000-meter main runway and covers 1,137 hectares of land, with expansion plans underway to increase its size to nearly 2,300 ha.learn more on wikipedia
