Napoleonic Wars
The Napoleonic Wars were a series of conflicts fought between the First French Empire under Napoleon Bonaparte and a fluctuating array of European coalitions from 1803 to 1815. The wars originated from the French Revolution and produced a period of French domination over Continental Europe. The conflicts include the War of the Third Coalition, War of the Fourth Coalition, War of the Fifth Coalition, War of the Sixth Coalition, War of the Seventh Coalition, the Peninsular War, and the French invasion of Russia. Napoleon's military victories and defeats led to a series of alliances and coalitions, including the defeat of Austria, Prussia, and Russia, and the eventual defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo in 1815. The wars had profound consequences on global history, including the spread of nationalism and liberalism, the rise of Britain as a world power, and the reorganization of European territories.learn more on wikipedia
