Naksa

The Naksa refers to the displacement of around 280,000 to 325,000 Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza Strip in 1967, when the territories were captured by Israel during the Six-Day War. Many Palestinian villages were destroyed, and the refugee camps of Aqabat Jaber, ʿEin as-Sultan, and Nu‘aymah were almost entirely emptied, with approximately 50,000 people having fled or been expelled to Jordan.
