Mount Zion

Mount Zion is a hill in Jerusalem, located just outside the walls of the Old City to the south. The term Mount Zion has been used to refer to three different locations in ancient Jerusalem. Initially, it referred to the City of David on the lower part of the Eastern Hill. Later, it was used to refer to the Temple Mount, the site of Solomon's Temple on the top of the Eastern Hill. Finally, it was used to refer to the Western Hill, which is the location of the hill that is today known as Mount Zion.learn more on wikipedia
