Minneriya National Park

Minneriya National Park is a protected area in North Central Province of Sri Lanka, designated as a national park in 1997 to preserve the catchment of Minneriya tank and its surrounding wildlife. The park is a dry season feeding ground for elephants, with large herds migrating from nearby parks and benefiting from its grass fields and forest shelter. The park is also home to a variety of other animals, including two endemic monkey species, rare and endangered leopards and sloth bears, and numerous bird species, including water birds and resident and migrant species.learn more on wikipedia
