Mgahinga National Park
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is a national park in southwestern Uganda, created in 1991 and covering 33.9 km2. It is located in the Virunga Mountains and includes three inactive volcanoes, ranging in altitude from 2,227 to 4,127 meters. The park is part of the Nile River watershed area and is contiguous with Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park and the southern sector of Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It experiences two wet rainy seasons, and its biodiversity includes bamboo forests, montane forests, and an alpine zone at higher altitudes. The park is home to around 30 mountain gorillas and golden monkeys, as well as other mammal and bird species. Tourist activities include mountain gorilla tracking, golden monkey tracking, volcano hiking, and bird watching, although the park receives relatively few visitors due to its remote location and limited infrastructure.learn more on wikipedia
