M109
The M109 is an American 155 mm turreted self-propelled howitzer introduced in the early 1960s to replace the M44. The M109 has a crew of four and has seen combat in several conflicts, including the Vietnam War, the 1973 Yom Kippur War, and the 1991 Gulf War. The howitzer has undergone numerous upgrades over the years, including the introduction of tactical nuclear projectiles, guided projectiles, and other advanced systems, and has been used by various countries, including Israel, Iran, and the United States. The M109 has been upgraded to the M109A7 and remains the principal self-propelled howitzer for the US until a replacement enters service, while its variants have been used in various conflicts, including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.learn more on wikipedia
