La Sagrada Familia
The Sagrada Família is a Catholic church located in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Spain, and is the largest unfinished Catholic church in the world. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, its construction began in 1882 and was interrupted by the Spanish Civil War, with significant progress being made in the 1950s and 2000s with advancements in technology. The church was consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010 and proclaimed a minor basilica, and its completion is expected by 2026, the centenary of Gaudí's death, although work on sculptures and decorative details may continue until 2034. The Sagrada Família is known for its unique blend of Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau forms, and has been described as the most extraordinary personal interpretation of Gothic architecture since the Middle Ages.learn more on wikipedia
