Klippan

The Klippan is a model of sofa manufactured and sold by IKEA, named after a municipality in Southern Sweden, developed by Lars Engman and Noboru Nakamura, and launched in 1980. It comes in a standard two-seat size and can be fitted with a range of removable and interchangeable fabric covers. Functional changes to the Klippan include a switch from a solid wood frame to a particleboard, fiberboard, and polyurethane foam frame, and from painted wood legs to steel or aluminum legs.
