Kirchnerism
Kirchnerism is an Argentine political movement based on populist ideals, formed by the supporters of spouses Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who served as Presidents of Argentina. It is considered a left-wing populist movement, often seen as a representative of the socialism of the 21st century, and is opposed by some factions of Peronists. The movement has its roots in the Peronist left and combines traditional Peronist elements such as nationalism, anti-imperialism, and economic redistribution. Kirchnerism has pursued an economic policy of industrialist developmentalism, with a focus on protecting local industry and employment, and has developed economic relations with Brazil and Venezuela while taking an antagonistic position towards the IMF and the United States. The movement has also been characterized by its defense of human rights, particularly in prosecuting those responsible for human rights violations during the Dirty War.learn more on wikipedia
