Kerch Strait Bridge

The Crimean Bridge is a pair of parallel bridges spanning the Kerch Strait between Russia and Crimea, with a length of 19 km and a cost of ₽227.92 billion (US$3.7 billion). It was built by the Russian Federation after its annexation of Crimea in 2014 and was inaugurated in 2018. The bridge was named the Crimean Bridge after an online vote in 2017. It was attacked on multiple occasions during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, including an explosion in October 2022 that caused parts of the road bridge to collapse, and was fully reopened to traffic in October 2023.
