Jubilee 2025
The 2025 Jubilee is a jubilee in the Catholic Church being celebrated in 2025, following the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy in 2015-2016. It began on Christmas Eve 2024 and will end on Epiphany 2026. Pope John Paul II announced the jubilee at the end of the Great Jubilee, and Pope Francis has been preparing for it since 2021, entrusting the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization with the task of making preparations. The motto of the event is "Pilgrims of Hope" and the official logo was presented in June 2022. The jubilee includes the opening and closing of the Holy Doors of the four major papal basilicas in Rome and the opening of a prison door in Rebibbia, which is a new addition to the celebration.learn more on wikipedia
