Joint Standoff Weapon
The AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) is a glide bomb developed by the US Navy and Air Force for use against soft targets such as parked aircraft, trucks, and surface-to-air missile sites. It is a fire-and-forget weapon that uses GPS/INS navigation and can operate in day/night and adverse weather conditions. The JSOW is a 450-kilogram class weapon with a range of up to 110 kilometers and can be used from low altitude launch to high altitude launch. It has been used by the US Navy and is also being considered for use by other countries, including Poland, Turkey, Finland, Greece, and Singapore. The JSOW has been recognized for its successful development program, which was completed ahead of schedule and without weight management issues.learn more on wikipedia
