Island Beach

Island Beach State Park is a New Jersey state park located on the Barnegat Peninsula, operating and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. The park spans 2,696 acres, divided into two areas, with a mix of maritime forest, sandy dunes, and wetlands, featuring a variety of flora including Eastern Redcedar, Pitch Pine, and Atlantic White Cedar. The park offers swimming, kayaking, and fishing, as well as dune buggy access in the southern portion, with a boardwalk extending from Barnegat Bay to the main road.
