I Love LA
Randy Newman's song "I Love L.A." was originally released on his 1983 album Trouble in Paradise and is about Los Angeles, California. The song features a soft opening verse with electric piano and saxophone instrumentation that borrows the melody of "The Lady Is a Tramp" and transitions to a more upbeat, pop rock driven melody influenced by the Beach Boys. The lyrics depict Newman driving down Imperial Highway with a woman at his side, name-dropping regions in Los Angeles and how everyone is happy due to the sunshine, and feature a chorus with Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac responding with "We love it." The song was recorded with producers Lenny Waronker and Russ Titelman and features instrumentation from several members of the rock band Toto.learn more on wikipedia
